Feelin' Like a Winner!

Here is my entry into SoulShine Studio's latest contest. SS S is a fabu beading shop/class workshop in Corning, NY on East Market St. Stop by and be inspired. Also, make sure to say Hi to Gemma, the lovely in house birdy :)

I just found out today that I won the contest! Yippppeeee! So super honored!

We were given a selection of beads and could add other components as we wished. I burned and stacked the fabric "flowers", created the dangles (including one on the back for extra Bazinga!) and sewed the flowers to the chain. I plan to wear it on my upcoming cruise the Bermuda!

What do you think? Totally a statement, wouldn't you say?

Scarf From Old Shirts!

 

Made this super fabu scarf from two of my fabu brother's old rocker t-shirts. These are from his old band Last Rights...that's him top right, lookin' all tough :) I'm putting together a tutorial so you too can get those shirts out of the drawer and onto your neck :) Stay tuned!

Smash Swap Project with Tara #1

My buddy Tara and I are working on a smash/reconstruction/swap project. Each of us have this same discarded book and we are giving ourselves "assignements" to reconfigure the book. We will swap the books between us and develop each page with new "rules" as we go along. Tara is a much more established paper artist than I am and I know I will learn a lot! Can't wait to see what develops!

Gallery Hoppin'

I've been working on a new project I'm calling "Small Animals, Big Voices".  Here's the first piece (and me) in the Arts of the Southern Finger Lakes Gallery in Corning, NY.

I have more pieces in the works...hope they get adopted :)
